Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Women’s Services to lead and manage our clients Women’s Health Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall operations, quality of care, and team leadership within the unit, ensuring alignment with organizational, clinical, and ethical standards. This includes obstetrical and neonatal care services.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement departmental goals, standards, and procedures that comply with clinical and administrative best practices.

Oversee daily operations of the department, including patient care delivery, service quality, complaint resolution, and performance metrics.

Direct staffing strategies, including recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, and professional development.

Ensure financial responsibility by managing departmental budgets and maintaining operations within financial allocations.

Lead and coordinate internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Promote a culture of evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.

Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor on obstetric and neonatal care issues.

Foster a safe, inclusive, and development-focused environment for staff and patients.
Required Qualifications

Education:

Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Required)

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Preferred)

Licensure/Certifications:
-
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Kentucky (Required) OR NLC

AWHONN Certification (Required)

Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)

Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) (Required)

Experience & Skills:
-
Proven leadership experience in a hospital-based women’s services department.

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.

Demonstrated knowledge of obstetric and neonatal care best practices.

Familiarity with health information systems and quality assurance protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of progressive leadership experience in Women’s Services or related clinical areas.

Master’s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

Experience managing budgets and interdisciplinary teams.
