Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager for our Neonatal ICU (NICU) to join a high-performing Women’s Services team dedicated to delivering exceptional care to our smallest patients. This is a full-time leadership opportunity ideal for a clinically strong and compassionate nurse with recent NICU leadership experience.
As Nurse Manager, you’ll assist the Director in overseeing all aspects of NICU operations, from staff coordination and clinical quality to patient safety and departmental performance improvement. You’ll provide hands-on leadership, mentorship, and clinical support to a dedicated team while driving initiatives that align with the hospital’s mission, values, and long-range strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities

Support the Director in managing NICU operations, staff, and performance

Coordinate departmental participation in quality and performance improvement initiatives

Ensure nursing care follows the nursing process and continuously evaluate its effectiveness

Provide real-time clinical leadership and support to nursing staff

Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care across Women’s Services

Maintain compliance with hospital policies, nursing standards, and regulatory guidelines
Qualifications
-
2+ years recent acute care NICU leadership experience (Manager or Charge Nurse) – required

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – required

Current Texas RN license or Multistate Compact RN license (TX license required within 60 days of hire)

Current BLS certification – AHA required

Strong interpersonal, team-building, and clinical leadership skills
