Position Summary

Our client, a leading healthcare facility in Las Vegas, is seeking a qualified and passionate Labor & Delivery Nurse Manager to oversee the 24-hour operations of the L&D unit. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring that patient care meets high clinical standards and aligns with the hospital’s mission of excellence in women’s health services.

As Nurse Manager, you will lead a team of dedicated L&D professionals, manage staffing, quality, and performance metrics, and collaborate with physicians and cross-functional teams to ensure the highest level of maternal care. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee 24/7 clinical and operational management of the Labor & Delivery unit

• Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care

• Supervise and support nursing staff, including scheduling, development, and performance management

• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements

• Collaborate with physicians, department leaders, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes

• Promote continuous quality improvement and staff engagement

• Maintain unit readiness for accreditations and inspections

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN required

• Minimum 2 years clinical experience in acute care

• 1–2 years progressive leadership experience (charge, supervisor, or manager level)

• Current RN license in the state of Nevada

• Current BCLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications – all required

• Strong communication, team leadership, and patient advocacy skills

• Experience with L&D patient populations and age-specific care standards
