Location: Bermuda
Schedule: Full-Time (35 hours/week including all shifts)
Salary Grade: CM3 | $117,483.53 per annum approx £87,179.83

About the Role:

Our client is committed to delivering the highest quality of care through service excellence, education, and leadership. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Manager to lead the ACW Operating Room (Surgical Services).

Reporting to the Clinical Director, the Clinical Manager will be responsible for overseeing patient care administration, managing the daily operations of the surgical unit, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, and driving quality improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead departmental action plans to align with strategic goals, monitored via strategic and departmental dashboards.

  • Provide clinical leadership and collaborate with the Clinical Director on service development and strategic direction.

  • Manage unit budget performance, control labor costs, and monitor financial indicators.

  • Develop and implement a Unit-specific Performance Improvement Plan in line with hospital-wide goals.

  • Track and respond to operational and clinical variances using key performance indicators.

  • Review time and attendance; adjust staffing based on patient acuity and operational needs.

  • Conduct employee evaluations and performance appraisals per HR policy.

  • Promote and role model a culture of service excellence and ensure a high standard of patient-centered care.


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution approved by the Bermuda Nursing Council.

  • Master’s in Nursing (MSN) or currently pursuing, preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years in a management, supervisory, or functional leadership role.

  • Proven leadership experience in a surgical or perioperative setting preferred.

  • Eligible for registration with the Bermuda Nursing Council.

  • Strong understanding of budgets and financial statement review preferred.

  • Current CPR certification.
