Position Overview:
Our client, a respected and mission-driven hospital, is seeking an experienced Clinical Director to lead its Women & Family Center. This is a pivotal role providing clinical and administrative leadership across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Nursery, Pediatrics, and Maternal Triage units.

The Director will oversee 24/7 operations across the service line—including a 4-bed LDR/maternal triage unit, 14-bed postpartum unit, nursery, and 4-bed pediatric unit—ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care that aligns with the organization’s mission and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight of clinical services across women’s and family health units

• Develop, coach, and support nursing and ancillary staff to uphold high performance and compassionate care

• Collaborate with hospital leadership and interdisciplinary teams to implement quality improvement initiatives

• Ensure full regulatory compliance (JCAHO and state agencies)

• Manage departmental budgets and drive operational efficiency

• Lead the delivery of evidence-based, culturally sensitive, and safe care across the maternal-child continuum

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

• Active Iowa RN license or Compact State license

• BSN required

• AHA BLS certification

• 5+ years of clinical experience in women’s health, maternity, or pediatrics

• Iowa Mandatory Reporter certifications for Child and Dependent Adult Abuse

• Previous leadership or management experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Nursing Administration, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration
