CLINICAL MANAGER

Management/Executive – (Acute Care Facility)

Schedule: Days

Under the direction of the Clinical Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of safe patient care as well as maintaining operational aspects of patient care in collaboration with other service areas within Allied Health Services and within the community.

Key responsibilities include:

  • defining the strategic action plans for their department
  • offering clinical expertise and leadership in the specialty of Community Mental Health in carrying out the strategic direction and service development
  • collection and preparation of department statistics
  • assuming acting responsibilities for administrative coverage for other Managers and for their own Director
  • developing new departmental policies and procedures in accordance with hospital guidelines and regulatory bodies
  • managing budgets including preparing capital and operational budget plans for the Director’s review
  • utilizing appropriate indicators and metrics and developing new metrics as appropriate to identify and improve performance/gaps in the unit/service delivery
  • gathering information from appropriate sources regarding employee performance and completing the performance appraisal process for each departmental employee according to Human Resources’ policies and procedures
  • participates in interviewing and hiring processes in partnership with the Director and Human Resources

Qualifications &/ Registration required:

  • Bachelors degree in Nursing or Allied Health discipline or related field from an accredited school required, with equivalent training, certification and/or experience
  • Master’s Candidate, preferred
  • Five years management experience (either in a supervisory or functional area)
  • Demonstrated experience with financial statements and budgets preferred
You must be willing to obtain a current licensure and registration with professional body i.e. the Bermuda Nurses Council or Allied Health Council once you have a job offer.

 

Salary Grade: $109,146.53  (approx £87,918)
