As deemed appropriate by the Professional Practice Lead and the Chief of Psychiatry and Psychology, the Clinical Psychologist provides Clinical Psychology services, and programme development consultation to the clinical services of the (BHB).

Key responsibilities include:

• Receiving referrals from Consultant Psychiatrists / Physicians for the psychological assessment and / or treatment of service users
• Providing psychological assessment and treatment to individuals and / or groups in conjunction with the services provided by the relevant clinical team. This may include inpatient or outpatient service users depending on clinical need
• Attending multidisciplinary meetings and gives clinical input
• Providing programme development consultation to the assigned Directorate
• Involvement in quality assurance exercises to monitor the development of cost effective services to the service user population
• Providing court reports as deemed appropriate by the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology Team
• Facilitating or coordinating two (2) Mid-Atlantic Wellness Institute Professional Seminar Series presentations during the fiscal year
• Providing in-service training to staff of inpatient and outpatient areas on relevant professional topics
• Providing supervision to Psychology / Psychiatry trainees
• Participating in Peer supervision with Psychology team

Qualifications & Registration required:

• Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology or equivalent in country of training. A Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology is acceptable for clinicians trained in the United Kingdom prior to the D.Clin.Psych designation
• Minimum of four (4) years of post-qualification experience in relevant clinical areas
• Willing to register with the Bermuda Psychological Practitioners Registration Council

Salary Grade: $119,918.96 per annum
