About the Role:

Our client, a leading and prestigious hospital in North Carolina, is seeking a Director of Case Management to lead and oversee the Case Management department. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring efficient, high-quality patient care through effective clinical resource management, discharge planning, patient advocacy, and utilization review.

You will be responsible for achieving key outcomes outlined in the Utilization Review Plan, ensuring that care provided is medically necessary and aligns with designated Geometric Length of Stay (GLOS) standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership for the Case Management department, aligning departmental goals with organizational objectives.

• Oversee discharge planning, utilization review, clinical social work, and patient advocacy.

• Manage department operations including patient care, technology use, service levels, and complaint resolution.

• Hire, train, and evaluate staff while promoting continuous learning and education.

• Monitor and manage departmental budgets and ensure regulatory compliance.

• Drive performance improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice implementation.

• Report outcomes to internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications:

• Education:

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing (required)

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Nursing or a related field (preferred)

• Licensure:

  • Active RN license to practice in North Carolina

• Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of management experience in Case Management or related field

  • Strong background in clinical leadership and healthcare operations
