REGISTERED NURSE – Palliative Care/LTC

Schedule: Rotational shifts including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays

Starting Salary: $75,000.01 per annum (approx £60,489) almost TAX FREE

Our client ensures the highest in quality health care through service excellence, education and leadership.  We seek qualified, highly motivated, and experienced professionals to work in a supportive but demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care, from routine to complex cases, as outlined in the medical plan of care

  • Develop and implement individualised nursing care plans using the nursing process

  • Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care

  • Participate in and lead patient care conferences

  • Assign, supervise, and mentor other nursing personnel as required

  • Utilise clinical, hospital, and community resources to support patient care

  • Ensure safe and efficient use of medical equipment and supplies

  • Uphold compliance with regulatory standards and hospice policies

  • Maintain professional knowledge and skills through continuing education and participation in professional organisations

  • Fulfill Team Leader duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma from an accredited institution

  • Current registration with the Bermuda Nursing Council (or eligibility to obtain)

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse

  • Certifications: Current CPR and IV Therapy

  • Strong physical assessment skills

  • Demonstrated clinical competence in palliative care

  • Preferred: Certification in Palliative and/or Long-Term Care, or commitment to complete within the first year of employment

Ideal Candidate:

  • Deep empathy and passion for end-of-life care

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Resilient, organised, and committed to providing compassionate care

Schedule: Salary is usually based on 35 hour weeks

Starting Salary: $75,000.01 per annum

Pre-employment substance abuse screening is mandatory for all successful candidates.
