REGISTERED NURSE – Palliative Care/LTC

Schedule: Rotational shifts including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays
Starting Salary: $75,000.01 per annum (approx £60,489) almost TAX FREE

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care, from routine to complex cases, as outlined in the medical plan of care

Develop and implement individualised nursing care plans using the nursing process
-
Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care
-
Participate in and lead patient care conferences
-
Assign, supervise, and mentor other nursing personnel as required
-
Utilise clinical, hospital, and community resources to support patient care
-
Ensure safe and efficient use of medical equipment and supplies
-
Uphold compliance with regulatory standards and hospice policies
-
Maintain professional knowledge and skills through continuing education and participation in professional organisations

Fulfill Team Leader duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience:
-
Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma from an accredited institution

Current registration with the Bermuda Nursing Council (or eligibility to obtain)

Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse

Certifications: Current CPR and IV Therapy
-
Strong physical assessment skills
-
Demonstrated clinical competence in palliative care
-
Preferred: Certification in Palliative and/or Long-Term Care, or commitment to complete within the first year of employment
Ideal Candidate:

Deep empathy and passion for end-of-life care

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Resilient, organised, and committed to providing compassionate care
Schedule: Salary is usually based on 35 hour weeks
Starting Salary: $75,000.01 per annum
