Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nurse Manager for our Labor & Delivery unit. This full-time leadership role is ideal for a clinically strong RN with supervisory experience who is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care environment.
As Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the department, ensuring that nursing care is delivered in alignment with best practices and organizational standards. You will lead and mentor staff, promote interdisciplinary collaboration, and drive initiatives to improve patient outcomes, safety, and experience.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily staffing and operations for the Labor & Delivery unit

Implement and support evidence-based practices to improve safety and clinical outcomes

Drive quality improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance, and patient satisfaction

Manage admissions and discharges to ensure efficient throughput and optimal patient care

Assign staff with appropriate competencies to meet patient needs

Support accreditation and benchmarking efforts; track and improve KPIs

Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement

Identify staff training needs and support ongoing professional development

Collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders across departments
Qualifications
-
BSN required
-
Current RN license (Texas or Compact – must obtain Texas license within 60 days if out-of-state)

Minimum 3–5 years of healthcare experience

Minimum 2 years in a supervisory/leadership role in an acute care setting

BLS required; ACLS preferred

Specialty certifications preferred:
-
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
-
RNC-OB (Inpatient Obstetric Nursing)

Must obtain specialty certification within 6 months of hire
