Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Labor & Delivery Unit at a respected healthcare facility. This leadership role is focused on ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care through the effective management of clinical staff, workflow, and patient outcomes.
The ideal candidate brings a strong clinical background in L&D and the leadership skills to foster accountability, drive quality initiatives, and maintain a supportive, high-performing team environment. You’ll play a critical role in advancing patient safety, satisfaction, and operational efficiency through evidence-based practices and collaborative care models.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee staffing, patient throughput, admissions/discharges, and interdisciplinary coordination

Ensure adherence to clinical and regulatory standards across the L&D department

Monitor nursing care delivery and hold teams accountable to quality outcomes

Promote evidence-based practices and reduce variation in clinical care

Implement performance improvement initiatives aligned with facility goals

Maintain compliance with internal policies, equipment standards, and accreditation benchmarks

Champion a positive, patient-focused culture and elevate service delivery

Analyze feedback and patient experience data to drive enhancements in care

Collaborate across departments to ensure optimal staffing and patient care outcomes
Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

Master’s degree (MSN or healthcare leadership) preferred

Current RN license (or active compact license) in accordance with state regulations

Specialty certification in L&D to be obtained within 6 months of hire

Minimum 3–5 years of healthcare experience

At least 1 year of L&D supervisory/leadership experience required

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Proven ability to lead quality, safety, and patient experience initiatives
