REGISTERED NURSE – ACW OPERATING

Fulltime or Locum (Acute Care Facility)

Schedule: 35 hrs per week Days/Evenings/Nights. Including weekends and Public Holidays.

Starting Salary: $75,000.01 per annum (£60,489)

Key responsibilities include:

• Gives direct patient care safely and efficiently.
• Demonstrates exceptional decision-making abilities in critical situations.
• Utilizes the nursing process and develops a nursing care plan for each assigned patient.
• Acts as a patient advocate, communicating between patient, family and other members of the health team.
• Initiates and participates in patient care conferences.
• Uses equipment and supplies in a safe and economical manner.
• Assigns, advises and directs other support personnel as required.
• Assumes in-charge duties as required.
• Assumes responsibility for professional development by participating in continuing education programmes, keeping current with professional literature, and participating in professional organizations.

Qualifications &/ Registration required:

• Registered Nurse with Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma from an accredited institution.
• Critical Care Nursing course certification
• Trauma nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification – Emergency Nurses Association preferred.
• Willing to obtain registration as required by the Bermuda Nursing Council.
• Two years continuous recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an ICU.
• Current certifications:  American Heart Association (AHA), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), IV Therapy.
• Experience in Physical assessment essential.
• Demonstrated knowledge and clinical competencies.

Schedule: 35 hrs per week. Including weekends and Public Holidays.

Starting Salary: $75,000.01 per annum

Pre-employment substance abuse screening is mandatory for all successful candidates.
