Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (Night Shift, 12 Hours)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate, clinically confident Registered Nurse (RN) to join our client's Labor & Delivery team on a 12-hour night shift schedule. This is a rewarding opportunity to support mothers and newborns through one of life’s most meaningful experiences in a fast-paced, hospital-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care during the intrapartum, antepartum, and postpartum phases.

  • Monitor and assess labor progress, fetal well-being, and maternal status.

  • Administer medications, monitor IVs, and assist with labor and delivery procedures.

  • Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the interdisciplinary care team.

  • Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

  • Active California RN license

  • BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association) – required upon hire

  • NRP (American Academy of Pediatrics) – required upon hire

  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National certification in Labor & Delivery or related specialty

  • Completion of AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring

  • Minimum 1 year of recent acute care/hospital experience

  • Minimum 1 year of independent RN experience in Labor & Delivery (not including training)

Clinical Manager - Oncology Services
Salary for 35 hour week: $103k approx £75k - almost tax free

  • Oncology Services is seeking a Clinical Manager that will provide leadership and act as a role model for staff. The position will require the post holder to provide direct patient care including chemotherapy and patient assessment, coordinate multi-disciplinary meetings, e.g. tumour board, collect and prepare department statistics.   The post holder will direct all staff in their daily duties as well as liaise with other healthcare professionals and organizations.

    Key Responsibilities include:

    • Ensures action plans are implemented within their department to meet the organization’s strategic goals as measured by the strategic and departmental dashboards
    • Offers clinical expertise and leadership as requested by their Director in carrying out the Strategic Direction and service development
    • Collaborates with other managers as appropriate to promote system solutions and resolve issues that cross departmental lines
    • Collection and preparation of department statistics

    Qualifications &/ Registration required:

    • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
    • Master’s Candidate (MSN), preferred
    • Current registration as required by the Bermuda Nursing Council (or transferable, eg NMC)
    • Post graduate certification in a specialty (Oncology nursing) would be an asset
    • Minimum Five years management experience (either in a supervisory or functional area)
    • Minimum of 2 years in Oncology/ Chemotherapy experience
    • Diploma in Supervisory Management or other Management certification will be an asset
    • Current ACLS, CPR registration and I.V. Therapy Certification

    Schedule:  35 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line crisis intervention, assessing clients’ mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing, and referring to physicians when necessary.

  • Serve as an advocate for clients with government agencies, employers, and other services.

  • Supervise nursing staff and act as a preceptor for community team members.

  • Proven ability to build effective interdisciplinary teams and lead change in complex healthcare environments.
  • Registration in good standing with the Bermuda Nurses Council, Allied Health Council, or other applicable professional regulatory body.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Certifications: Current CPR and IV Therapy

  • Strong physical assessment skills

  • Demonstrated clinical competence in palliative care

  • Preferred: Certification in Palliative and/or Long-Term Care, or commitment to complete within the first year of employment
